Suzana Grubješić is a Serbian politician who has worked to help her country, Serbia, connect more closely with the European Union. She served as a very important leader, like a Deputy Prime Minister, for Serbia from 2012 to 2014. She was also a member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, which is like the country's main law-making group.

Early Life and Education
Growing Up and Learning
Suzana Grubješić was born on January 29, 1963. Her birthplace was Sombor, a city in the Vojvodina region of what was then Yugoslavia. Today, Sombor is part of Serbia.
University Years
She went to the University of Belgrade and finished her studies in 1986. She studied political science, which is about how governments work and how people make decisions in a country.
Stepping into the World of Work
Early Career
After university, Suzana Grubješić started her career in tourism. From 1991 to 1992, she worked for a company called Yugotours. She was a representative for them in Pula, Croatia.
Later, from 1992 to 1996, she became the general manager of Offshore Knipps Co. This company was located in Cyprus.
Moving to Politics
After the wars in the 1990s, Suzana Grubješić decided to get involved in politics. She wanted to help her country grow and change.
A Career in Serbian Politics
Joining G17 Plus
In 1996, she became a project manager for the European Movement in Serbia. This group worked to connect Serbia with Europe. A year later, she helped start a non-governmental organization (NGO) called G17. This group studied economics to help Serbia's economy grow and improve its laws.
In 2003, the G17 NGO became a political party called G17 Plus (G17+). Suzana Grubješić was the executive director of this party until 2008. She also represented G17+ in the Parliament of Serbia from 2003 to 2012.
Working for European Integration
Starting in 2003, Suzana Grubješić worked on programs to help Serbia join the European Union. She was also the Speaker of the Serbian Parliament. In 2007, she became the head of a group of lawmakers in Parliament.
She was also a member of important committees. These included the Administrative Committee, the Committee for European Integration, and the Committee on Development and International Economic Relations. She also led the Serbian team at the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
Becoming Deputy Prime Minister
In March 2011, she became a leader for another group in the Serbian Parliament. This group was called the United Regions of Serbia (URS).
Then, from July 27, 2012, to September 2, 2013, she served as the Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia. She worked under Prime Minister Ivica Dačić.
Later Roles and Skills
In June 2014, Suzana Grubješić became an advisor to Rasim Ljajic. He was the Minister of Foreign and Domestic Trade and Telecommunications at that time. Suzana Grubješić is also very good with languages. She can speak English, French, German, and Greek.
