Sverrir Páll Guðnason (born September 12, 1978) is a talented actor from Sweden and Iceland. He has starred in many movies and TV shows.
Sverrir was born in Lund, Sweden, but his parents were from Iceland. He grew up in Reykjavík, Iceland. He started acting on stage in a play called Heimsljós at the Reykjavík City Theatre. In the same year, he also appeared in Áramótaskaupið, a popular TV show.
In 1990, when Sverrir was 12, his family moved to Tyresö, Sweden. His father became a professor at the Royal Institute of Technology there.
Sverrir won an award for Best Actor at the 2009 Shanghai International Film Festival. This was for his role in the movie Original, which was made in Sweden and Denmark. He also played Pontus Höijer in the second season of the TV series Wallander. He has had main roles in plays at city theaters in both Gothenburg and Stockholm.
In 2017, Sverrir played the famous tennis player Björn Borg in the movie Borg vs McEnroe. A year later, in 2018, he played Mikael Blomkvist in the exciting thriller The Girl in the Spider's Web. In the 2020 film Falling, directed by and starring Viggo Mortensen, Sverrir played a younger version of a character named Willis in flashback scenes.

Sverrir's father was Guðni A. Jóhannesson, who worked for the energy regulation office in Iceland. His mother is Bryndís Sverrisdóttir. Sverrir's grandfather, on his mother's side, was Sverrir Hermannsson, an Icelandic politician and banker.
