Sylvia Jeffreys (born 23 April 1985) is an Australian journalist and TV presenter. She is well-known for her work on the Nine Network.
Currently, Sylvia is a co-host of the TV show Today Extra. She hosts it alongside David Campbell.
Before this, she was a news presenter on Today. She also worked as a reporter and presenter for Nine News. Sylvia was also a reporter on A Current Affair.

Early Life and Education
Sylvia Jeffreys was born in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. She grew up in a suburb called Coorparoo.
She went to Brisbane State High School. In 2003, she was the School Captain. After high school, Sylvia studied at the University of Queensland. She earned a Bachelor of Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Her Career in Television
Sylvia Jeffreys started her media career in August 2005. She joined the Nine Network in Brisbane. Her first job was helping out in the newsroom. She worked as a script assistant.
Early Reporting Roles
In 2008, Sylvia began reporting on lifestyle stories. These stories were for a Queensland show called Extra. She then returned to the newsroom in 2009.
In 2011, Sylvia became the weekend weather presenter. This was for Nine News Queensland. She reported on many big news events. These included floods in Central Queensland and Brisbane. She also traveled to Tully to report on Cyclone Yasi.
Moving to Sydney and National News
In January 2012, Sylvia moved to Sydney. She joined Today as a reporter for New South Wales. She worked there until June 2013.
After that, she joined Nine News as a reporter. She also filled in as a presenter. She presented on shows like Nine Morning News and Weekend Today.
In June 2014, Sylvia returned to Today. This time, she became the main news presenter.
New Projects and Today Extra
In December 2018, it was announced that Sylvia would leave Today. She moved on to work on other projects.
In February 2019, the Nine Network shared her new roles. Sylvia began working across different departments. This included reporting for A Current Affair.
In August 2019, Sylvia started hosting 9NewsWatch. This was a news bulletin shown on Facebook.
In December 2019, Sylvia Jeffreys became a co-host of Today Extra. She replaced Sonia Kruger in this role.
Personal Life
In December 2013, Sylvia shared that she was dating Peter Stefanovic. He was also a reporter for Nine News. Peter is the younger brother of Karl Stefanovic, who hosted Today.
Sylvia and Peter sometimes co-hosted Weekend Today together.
Marriage and Family
In July 2016, Sylvia announced her engagement to Peter. They got married on 1 April 2017.
In August 2019, Sylvia and Peter announced they were expecting their first child. Their son was born on 31 January 2020.
In October 2020, they announced they were expecting a second child. Their second son was born on 3 April 2021.
In July 2023, Sylvia completed the Gold Coast half marathon. She finished 5419th and was very proud of her achievement.
