They even use the Philips brand name for some of their products. TPV also makes products for other companies without putting their own brand name on them.

How TPV Technology Started
Early Years in Taiwan
TPV Technology began in 1990 in Taiwan. It was first known as Top Victory Electronics. At that time, it was the main factory in China for another company called AOC International. AOC International itself was founded much earlier, in 1967.
Growing Through Partnerships
TPV grew a lot by working with other big companies. In September 2005, TPV Technology bought part of Philips' business. This included making computer monitors and basic flat-screen TVs. This deal made TPV the biggest screen maker in the world.
Later, in March 2008, TPV bought another business. This time it was from a company called Chi Mei Optoelectronics Corporation. These purchases helped TPV become even larger and more powerful in the electronics world.
Philips Brand and TP Vision
Marketing Philips Screens
In June 2009, TPV created a new company called MMD. MMD stands for Multimedia Displays. This company's job was to sell Philips-branded LCD monitors and displays worldwide. This agreement covered several types of Philips products. It included LCD monitors for homes and businesses. It also covered large screens for public places and TVs for hotels.
Creating TP Vision
In April 2011, TPV Technology and Philips decided to work together even more closely. They formed a joint company in the Netherlands. This new company, called TP Vision, would handle all of Philips' TV operations. TPV Technology owned 70% of TP Vision, and Philips owned 30%.
The new company, TP Vision, officially started in April 2012. Then, in January 2014, TPV Technology made another agreement with Philips. TPV bought the remaining 30% of TP Vision. This deal was completed in May 2014. After that, TP Vision became a company fully owned by TPV Technology.
Where TPV Products Are Made
TPV Technology makes many different types of screens. This includes older CRT monitors, LCD monitors, and LCD TVs. By 2010, TPV could make about 6.1 million monitors every month.
The company has factories in several countries around the world. They have five factories in China. They also have two factories in Brazil, one in Poland, and one in Russia. TPV sells its products to customers all over the globe.
