Tabor College is a Christian college in Australia. It offers many different courses for students after high school. You can study subjects like counselling, education, music, and humanities. The main campus is in Adelaide, South Australia. There is also a campus in Perth, Western Australia. The Adelaide campus is in old, historic buildings in Millswood. These buildings used to be an orphanage. In 2022, the Tabor Institute of Music (TIM) started. It offers music courses and has special music rooms.

Discovering Tabor College's History
Tabor College started in 1979. It was founded by a Christian church group called the Christian Revival Crusade. This group is now known as CRC Churches International. The college keeps its lively Christian spirit. It welcomes students and teachers from many different Christian churches. These include Anglican, Baptist, and Uniting Church in Australia churches. Tabor College wants all its courses to be based on the Bible. They also focus on Jesus, good learning, and helping others.
Founders and the College Name
Pastor Barry Chant was the first leader of Tabor College. He started the college in Adelaide with Dennis Slape. Pastor Chant has written several books. One book is about the history of Pentecostal churches in Australia.
The college's name and logo come from Mount Tabor, Israel. This mountain is important in Christian belief. It is where Jesus is said to have shown his divine glory. This event is called the Transfiguration of Christ.
How Tabor College Grew
Tabor College opened new campuses in other cities. A campus in Melbourne opened in 1988. Campuses in Sydney and Perth started in 1992. Another college, Kingsley College, joined with Tabor Victoria in 2008.
Colleges That Followed
Over time, some Tabor campuses became separate colleges:
- In New South Wales and Queensland, the Australian College of Christian Studies (ACCS) started in 2014.
- In Victoria, Eastern College Australia began in 2015.
- In Tasmania, Tabor Tasmania joined with Alphacrucis in 2016.
- The main Tabor College in Adelaide still serves South Australia and Western Australia. Tabor Perth joined with Tabor Adelaide in 2015.
