Talib Johri (born August 27, 1929 – died June 21, 2020) was a well-known Pakistani Islamic scholar, poet, historian, and philosopher. He belonged to the Shia branch of Islam. Many people considered him a very important Shia scholar. His speeches were even shown on PTV Network, a television channel.

His Life and Work

Talib Johri was born in 1929 in Patna, which was then part of British India. He grew up to become a respected figure in the Islamic world. He was known for his deep knowledge and his efforts to bring people together.

Talib Johri worked hard to promote peace and understanding between different groups of Muslims in Pakistan, especially between Shia and Sunni communities. He believed in unity and tried to build bridges between them.

His Education Journey

Allama Talib Jauhari studied with many famous teachers. He was a student of Sayyid Abu al-Qasim al-Khoei and Muhammad Baqir al-Sadr. He also studied alongside Sayyid Ali Sistani in Najaf, a city known for its religious schools.

Books He Wrote

Talib Johri wrote many books on different topics. One of his important works is Hadees e Karabala. He also wrote a very detailed explanation of the Quran. His book Alamaat e Zahoor e Mehdi is thought to be one of the most complete books written in Urdu about Imam Mehdi.

Talib Johri passed away on June 21, 2020, at the age of 90. He had been in a hospital for some time. Many important leaders, including the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, President Arif Alvi, and Army Chief Qamar Javed Bajwa, shared their sadness over his death. He left behind three sons and three daughters. His teachings and writings continue to inspire many people.
