Tamasin Ramsay (born 1969) is an Australian anthropologist and former actress. An anthropologist is someone who studies human societies and cultures. She studied a special type of anthropology called medical anthropology at the University of Melbourne. Later, she earned her highest university degree, a PhD, from Monash University in 2009. Tamasin Ramsay lives in Victoria, Australia.

Tamasin Ramsay's Acting Career

Tamasin Ramsay grew up in a family of actors. Her parents, Robin Ramsay and Barbara Bossert Ramsay, were both actors and writers. When she was a child, Tamasin also started acting.

Early Roles in TV and Film

She appeared in an ABC Television show called The Truckies. She also acted in the film Dimboola (1979). When she was 17, she got a part in the Australian TV series Possession (1985).

Later Acting Work

Tamasin played Princess Talitha in Return to Eden (1986). She then had roles in other shows like Prime Time (1986) and Neighbours (1987). She also appeared in Darlings of the Gods (1989) and The Great Gatsby. Later, she was in Blue Heelers (2001) and the movie Queen of the Damned (2002). Her last known acting role was in Tao of the Traveller (2008). This film was based on a story written by her mother and directed by her father.
