Lü Jianzhong (Chinese: 呂建中), known by his stage name Tank, is a talented singer and songwriter from Taiwan. He was born on February 6, 1982. Tank is currently signed with HIM International Music.

He released his first album, Fighting, on February 23, 2006. His most recent album, The 3rd Round, came out on May 31, 2009. Tank is known for his unique blend of Mandopop and acoustic rock music.

About Tank

Tank was born in Taitung, a city in Taiwan. His family background is quite special. His father belongs to the Ami people, and his mother is from the Puyuma people. Both are native groups in Taiwan.

Tank married his girlfriend, MerMer, on September 28, 2012. They had been together for two years. Their daughter, Hua Hua, was born in May 2012.

Health Challenges

Tank has faced some health challenges throughout his life. He was born with a heart condition. In 2007, he had a heart attack. Sadly, his sister passed away from a sudden heart attack in 2006. His aunt also died from a heart attack a few months later.

To help manage his heart condition, Tank had a special device called a cardioverter-defibrillator placed in his body in 2009. This device helps keep his heart beat regular.

Musical Journey

Before he released his own music, Tank was already a busy songwriter. He wrote songs for many other famous artists, including Vic Chou and S.H.E. He wrote both the music and words for the song "Letting You Go." This song was released by Taiwanese artist Will Pan.

By the time he was 21, Tank had already written over 200 songs! People thought he would become as big as famous musicians like David Tao and Jay Chou. This was because he was so good at writing songs, singing, and even dancing.

Many of Tank's songs became popular theme songs for TV shows. "Romance of Three Kingdoms" was used for the show Seven Swordsmen. "Give Me Your Love" became the ending theme for KO One. Another song, "Tears of a Thousand Years," was used in the drama The Little Fairy.

His second album, Keep Fighting, was released in 2007. The song "Personal Angel" from this album was used as an ending theme for Hanazakarino Kimitachihe, a romantic comedy series.

Tank was also asked by a company called NCsoft to create a theme song for their computer game, Guild Wars. He wrote "Intense Battle" for the game. In 2007, he recorded a song with Yoga Lin for the TV series Bull Fighting. In 2012, he sang a duet with Ella Chen from S.H.E called Dǒng wǒ zài ài wǒ. This song was also part of the soundtrack for her movie.
