S.H.E is a very popular girl group from Taiwan. The group has three members: Selina Ren, Hebe Tien, and Ella Chen. Their name, S.H.E, comes from the first letter of each girl's name.
A music company called HIM International Music formed the group. They found the girls after holding a singing competition in 2000. Originally, only one winner was planned, and that was Selina Ren. But the company saw how talented Hebe Tien and Ella Chen were too. So, they decided to put all three girls together to form S.H.E!
Since their first album, Girls Dorm, came out in 2001, S.H.E has released 11 albums. They have sold over 4.5 million copies of their music. This makes them one of the most successful girl groups in Asia. Besides singing, the three members have also acted in many TV shows. They often sang the main theme songs for these shows. Because S.H.E became so successful, other companies in Taiwan started trying to create their own girl groups.
