Hebe Tien Fu-chen (born March 30, 1983) is a famous Taiwanese singer and actress. She first became well-known in the early 2000s as a member of the popular girl group S.H.E.

In 2010, she started her solo career with her first album, To Hebe. One of her most famous songs is "A Little Happiness". It was the theme song for the 2015 movie Our Times and became a huge hit across Asia.

Early Life and First TV Appearances

Hebe Tien was born in Xinfeng, Taiwan. Her father worked for the government, and her mother was a housewife. She has an older brother. Tien has said that if she didn't become a singer, she might have followed her father's path and worked for the government too.

When she was 16, Tien appeared on a TV variety show called Guess. She played the flute on the show. She also appeared on another show called TV Citizen, where she sang and won a prize of 10,000 New Taiwan Dollars.

Music Career

2000: Joining the Group S.H.E

After her TV appearances, a music company called Grand Music International (now HIM International Music) noticed her talent. They invited her to join a contest called the "Universal 2000 Talent and Beauty Girl Contest." The company was looking for new artists to sign.

About 1,000 people entered the contest. During one round, Tien's voice cracked while singing. For the final round, she chose a song she didn't know very well and missed some of the lyrics. Even with these mistakes, the company liked her strong voice and honest personality. They asked her to join a new girl group with Selina and Ella. This group became the famous trio S.H.E.

2010–2012: Starting a Solo Career

After many successful years with S.H.E, Tien began her career as a solo artist in 2010. Her first solo album, To Hebe, was released in September and was very well-received. The album was nominated for four awards at the 22nd Golden Melody Awards and won two of them.

In 2011, she released her second album, My Love. A song from this album, "Still in Happiness," became the first music video by a Chinese-speaking female singer to get 10 million views on YouTube. My Love received seven nominations at the 23rd Golden Melody Awards, more than any other work that year.

2013–2017: More Albums and a World Tour

In 2015, she sang "A Little Happiness" for the movie Our Times. The music video for this song was the first by a Chinese-speaking artist to reach 100 million views on YouTube.

Her fourth album, Day by Day, was released in 2016. That same year, she was a celebrity mentor on the music show Sound of My Dream. She wrapped up her "IF" world tour in 2017 after performing 38 concerts in 23 different cities.

2018–Present: New Music and Major Awards

In 2018, Tien and the other members of S.H.E left their record label of 17 years, HIM International Music. Tien started her own management company called A TUNE Music.

She released her fifth album, Time Will Tell, in 2020. This album was a huge success. At the 32nd Golden Melody Awards, it was nominated for six awards, and Tien won the award for Best Female Mandarin Singer.

In 2022, she announced her second world tour, One, After Another, which sold out quickly. She also released new songs, including "It is The Hour" and "One Week Friends." In August 2023, she released another new single called "Glimpses of a Journey."
