Cornellius "Tank" Carradine is a former American football player. He played as a defensive end in the National Football League (NFL). Tank played college football for the Florida State Seminoles. The San Francisco 49ers chose him in the 2013 NFL draft.

Early Life and High School Football
Tank Carradine was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. He went to Taft High School in Cincinnati. There, he played high school football for the Taft Senators team.
College Football Career
Carradine first attended Butler Community College. Later, he moved to Florida State University. He played for the Florida State Seminoles team in 2011 and 2012. His coach was Jimbo Fisher. In 2012, Carradine made 11 sacks in 11 games. A sack is when a defensive player tackles the opposing team's quarterback. Sadly, he had a serious knee injury in November 2012. This injury was a torn ACL, which ended his season.
Professional Football Career
Tank Carradine played for several teams in the NFL. He was known for his strong defensive play.
Playing for the San Francisco 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers picked Carradine in the 2013 NFL draft. He was the 40th player chosen overall. On August 27, 2013, he was placed on a special injury list. This meant he could not play right away. On October 29, 2013, he was ready to play and joined the main team.
In 2016, Carradine changed his playing position. He became an outside linebacker. He also lost some weight to help with this new role. On September 6, 2016, he signed a new contract with the 49ers. This contract kept him with the team until 2018. On September 25, 2017, he was put on injured reserve again. This was because of a high ankle sprain. He returned to the team on November 25, 2017.
Time with the Oakland Raiders
On March 17, 2018, Carradine signed with the Oakland Raiders. However, he was released by the Raiders on October 6, 2018. He had asked to be released because he was not getting much playing time.
With the Miami Dolphins
On February 15, 2019, Carradine signed with the Miami Dolphins. He was released by the team on August 31, 2019. But he was re-signed on September 12, 2019. He was then released again on September 24, 2019.
