Tanner Hall (born October 26, 1983) is an American freeskier. He is known for his amazing skills in freestyle skiing.

About Tanner Hall

Early Life and Skiing Beginnings

Tanner Hall, often called 'Ski Boss', was born in Kalispell, Montana. He started skiing at just three years old at a place called Big Mountain. When he was 10, he joined a freestyle ski team. He practiced moguls (skiing over bumps) and aerials (jumps and tricks in the air). At 15, he moved to Park City, Utah to focus on freeskiing. His first big competition was the US Open in Vail, Colorado.

Starting a Ski Company

In 2002, Tanner helped start a ski company called Armada Skis. He created it with another skier, JP Auclair, and a photographer, Chris O'Connell.

Injuries and Comebacks

Tanner Hall has faced some tough injuries during his career.

Ankle Injury in 2005

In March 2005, Tanner tried a difficult trick over a big jump called Chad's Gap in Utah. He didn't land it perfectly and broke both of his ankles. His famous words, "my ankles are broken, my ankles are broke," became well-known in the skiing world. This injury kept him from skiing for the rest of the season. But he came back strong in 2006. He won gold medals at the US Freeskiing Open and the Winter X-Games that year.

Knee Injuries in 2009

In May 2009, Tanner had another serious accident at Stevens Pass in Washington. He landed too far from a jump. This caused him to tear ligaments (ACLs) in both knees and break bones in his lower legs. He took a break from skiing for over a year to recover. By summer 2010, he was back to training on trampolines.

Other Ventures

Tanner Hall is also a co-founder of Inspired Media Concepts. This company makes ski movies and online videos. It also focuses on reggae music. For a long time, Red Bull sponsored Tanner Hall. But in 2012, they ended their sponsorship.
