Tanya Lacey (born on March 2, 1986) is an English singer, songwriter, and composer. She is signed with Sony Music, a big record company. Tanya is well-known for writing and singing on the song "How We Roll" with Loick Essien. This song became very popular, reaching number 2 on the UK music charts. Tanya Lacey also got to open for Bruno Mars on his European tour, called The Doo-Wops & Hooligans Tour.
In 2017, Tanya joined The Voice UK, a TV singing competition. She passed the first round, where judges pick singers for their teams. She joined Team Gavin, led by Gavin Rossdale. Later, she was eliminated from Gavin's team. But then, another judge, Will (will.i.am), chose to "steal" her for his own team.

Tanya Lacey's Music Journey
Starting Her Career: 2011–2013
Tanya Lacey began her music journey by singing on a song called "Spotlight." This song was on rapper Tinchy Stryder's album, Catch 22. She also helped write and sang on Loick Essien's song "How We Roll." This song came out on July 3, 2011. It quickly became a hit, reaching number 2 on the UK Singles Chart. It also reached number 49 on the Irish Singles Chart.
On December 2, 2011, Tanya released her very first single, "Letter to My Ex / Born to Fly." A single is usually one or two songs released together. She then released "Greatness" on July 22, 2012. This was the main song from her first collection of songs, called an EP (Extended Play), named Head Chef. On October 7, 2012, she released "Too Many Cooks" as the second single from Head Chef. Her full EP, Head Chef, came out on October 22, 2012.
Tanya also sang on three songs for the famous drum and bass artist Danny Byrd. These songs were "Bad Monday," "Love You Like This," and "Golden Ticket." They were all on his album, Golden Ticket. On June 9, 2013, Tanya released another single called "Now That You're Gone."
Music from 2014 to Today
In 2014, Tanya Lacey sang on "Don't Look Back" with the music group Matrix & Futurebound. This song was released on July 6, 2014. It also became a Top 40 hit, reaching number 38 on the charts.
In 2017, Tanya became a contestant on The Voice UK. This is a popular TV show where singers compete. She joined Gavin Rossdale's team first. She was voted off during the "battle" rounds, where singers compete against each other. However, will.i.am chose to "steal" her for his team, giving her another chance. But she was voted off again later in the competition.
