Loick Mark Essien is an English singer who creates R&B, hip hop, and grime music. He is signed to Sony Music, a big record label. Loick started his music journey by singing on a song called "Beast" with rapper Chipmunk. He had plans to release his first album, Identity, in 2012, but it didn't come out at that time.

Loick's Music Career
Loick Essien began his music career in 2007. He sang the chorus on a song called "Black Boys" by Bashy. Even though he sang on the track, his name wasn't officially listed.
His next big step was in 2008. He appeared on Chipmunk's first song, "Beast". This song was released in October 2008 and appeared on Chipmunk's album I Am Chipmunk.
Loick also sang on "When the Sky Falls" with Bashy. This song came out in March 2010.
In February 2011, it was announced that Loick would release his first album, Identity. The second song from this album was "Stuttering", released in February 2011. It featured the rap group N-Dubz. This song was a big success for Loick, reaching number 36 on the UK Singles Chart. This chart shows the most popular songs in the UK.
Loick released his third song, "How We Roll", with singer Tanya Lacey in July 2011. This song became his biggest hit, reaching number two on the UK Singles Chart! It sold over 52,000 copies in its first week.
His fourth song from the Identity album was "Me Without You". It was released in November 2011 and reached number 14 on the charts. In October 2011, Loick appeared on a TV show called Never Mind the Buzzcocks. Today, Loick is signed to Insanity Records, which is part of Sony Music.
