Loick Mark Essien is an English singer and songwriter. He is known for his R&B, electronica, grime, and hip hop music. Loick Essien started his music journey by singing on rapper Chipmunk's song "Beast". He was planning to release his first album, Identity, in March 2012. However, his record label decided not to release it just before it came out.

Loick Essien began his music career in 2007. He sang on a song called "Black Boys" by Bashy, but his name wasn't listed. In 2008, he appeared on rapper Chipmunk's first song, "Beast". This song came out in October 2008. It was also part of Chipmunk's album, I Am Chipmunk.

Loick also sang on another song by Bashy, called "When the Sky Falls". This song was released in March 2010.

On October 12, 2010, Loick Essien released his first solo song. ..... This song reached number 56 on the UK music chart. In February 2011, it was announced that his first album, Identity, would be released later that year.

His second song from the album was "Stuttering". It came out on February 6, 2011. This song featured the rap group N-Dubz. "Stuttering" was Loick Essien's first song to reach the top 40. It charted at number 36 on the UK Singles Chart.

Loick Essien released his third song, "How We Roll", on July 3, 2011. This song featured singer Tanya Lacey. It became his biggest hit, reaching number two on the UK Singles Chart. It sold over 52,000 copies in its first week.

His fourth song from the Identity album was "Me Without You". It was released on November 6, 2011. This song reached number 14 on the charts. Loick Essien also appeared as a guest on the TV show Never Mind the Buzzcocks in October 2011. Loick Essien is now signed to Insanity Records, which is part of Sony Music.
