Tarek Hamed (Arabic: طارق حامد; born on October 24, 1988) is an Egyptian professional footballer. He plays as a defensive midfielder for the Saudi Pro League club Damac.

Tarek Hamed has played for several football clubs. He has shown great skill and helped his teams win many important games and titles.
Playing for Smouha
Tarek Hamed joined Smouha and quickly became a very important player. He played a key role when the team finished second in both the Egyptian Premier League and the Egypt Cup. This showed his talent early in his career.
Time with Zamalek
In 2014, Hamed moved to Zamalek. Here, he became a central figure for the team. He helped Zamalek win an amazing thirteen national and continental competitions. This includes multiple league titles and cups.
Moving to Al-Ittihad
On July 24, 2022, Tarek Hamed signed a two-year contract with the Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad. He continued to play a strong role in the midfield for his new team.

CAF Awards Recognition
Tarek Hamed's excellent performance on the field was noticed by the CAF. He was nominated for the African Player of the Year award in both 2017 and 2019. In 2019, he was one of the top three finalists for the best African-based player at the CAF Awards. This shows he was considered one of the best players in Africa.

He earned his first cap (played his first game) for Egypt against Saudi Arabia. He became a regular player for his country.
Africa Cup of Nations
Hamed played in all six of Egypt's matches at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations. Egypt won the silver medal in this tournament, showing their strength. He also played in all four of Egypt's matches during the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
Playing in the World Cup
In May 2018, Tarek Hamed was chosen for Egypt's team for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. This is a huge honor for any footballer. He started in all three of Egypt's games at the World Cup.
Retirement from International Football
