She went to several schools to learn different things. She studied Asian Studies at the University of British Columbia. She also got a marketing diploma from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Later, she studied fine arts at the Emily Carr University of Art and Design.

- Discovery: A Slice of Diversity (2014): Taslim Samji curated this show at the Deer Lake Gallery in Burnaby. It featured art by Canadian Ismaili Muslim artists who came from East Africa.
- Odyssey: Past Meets Present (2015): This exhibition was held at the Roundhouse Community Arts and Recreation Centre in Vancouver. It included 15 artists from many different places. Their art explored how their past experiences influenced their current work.
- "Commonality" (2016): This show took place at the Newton Cultural Centre. It highlighted the shared experiences among nine female Ismaili Muslim artists. These artists came from East Africa, India, and Pakistan.
