History of Teasdale
How Teasdale Got Its Name
The community of Teasdale was first settled in 1878 by pioneers who were members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They originally called their new home Bullberry Creek. This name came from a creek that flowed right next to the town.
Later, in the early 1900s, the community's name was changed to Teasdale. It was named after a man named George Teasdale. He was an important leader in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving as a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.
