Tembi Locke is an American actress. She is famous for her roles as Dr. Grace Monroe in the TV show Eureka and Dr. Diana Davis in Sliders. Tembi also wrote a popular book called From Scratch. Netflix later made this book into a TV series.

About Tembi Locke
Early Life and Education
Tembi Locke grew up with parents who worked for civil rights. She went to Alief Hastings High School in Houston. After high school, Tembi lived in Italy for a while as part of a student exchange program. While there, she appeared on Italian television several times. She was even on a show called Carnevale Di Venezia.
After returning to the United States, Tembi went to Wesleyan University in Connecticut. She earned a degree in art history from there.
Family Life
Tembi Locke was married to Rosario "Saro" Gullo, who was a chef from Sicily, Italy. They lived and worked together in Los Angeles, California. Sadly, Saro passed away in 2012 from cancer. Tembi later met her partner Robert in 2016. They got married in 2020.
Tembi's Acting Career
Starting Out in New York
While in New York, Tembi acted in several plays that were not on Broadway. She also got a role on the long-running TV soap opera As The World Turns. After that, she moved to Los Angeles to continue her acting career.
Famous TV Roles
Tembi's prime-time TV career began when she played one of Will Smith's love interests. This was on the popular show The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
She has appeared in many TV dramas, comedies, and movies. From 2010 to 2012, she played Dr. Grace Monroe on the Syfy series EUReKA. Her character was a biotech specialist. She also starred as Dr. Diana Davis on Sliders from 1999 to 2000.

Tembi has been in many other well-known TV shows. These include Castle, Bones, The Mentalist, and CSI: NY. She also appeared in comedies like Friends, The Jamie Foxx Show, and House of Payne.

Tembi's Book: From Scratch
Tembi Locke wrote a memoir called From Scratch: A Memoir of Love, Sicily and Finding Home. It was published on April 30, 2019. The book tells the story of her romance with her Italian husband. It also shares her journey of grief after he passed away too soon.
The book From Scratch was later turned into a limited TV series. Producer Reese Witherspoon and writer Marguerite MacIntyre helped make it happen. The series starred Zoe Saldana and was released on Netflix.
