Tenmile Creek is a stream located in Lane County, Oregon, in the United States. It flows west from the Siuslaw National Forest in the Oregon Coast Range. The creek eventually empties into the Pacific Ocean at Stonefield Beach State Recreation Site. This spot is about 10 kilometers (6 miles) south of Yachats.

What's in a Name?

Tenmile Creek got its name because it is about 10 miles (16 kilometers) long. There's also a place called Tenmile Ridge. This ridge runs next to the creek and is named after it.

Tenmile Creek Bridge

A special bridge called the Tenmile Creek Bridge crosses over the creek. This bridge carries U.S. Highway 101, a major road. A talented engineer named Conde B. McCullough designed this bridge in 1931. It is 180 feet (55 meters) long.

Along Tenmile Creek, you can find Ten Mile County Park. Lane County operates this park. It's a great place to visit!
