This period was the best in the club's history. Nimura played 151 games for the club and scored 16 goals. He stopped playing football in 1976.

Becoming a Coach
After he stopped playing, Nimura became a football coach. In 1981, he became the manager for Mazda, which was the new name for his old club, Toyo Industries. He took over from another famous coach, Aritatsu Ogi.
However, in the 1983 season, the Mazda team finished last in the league. This meant they were moved down to Division 2, which was the first time this had happened to the club. Nimura then left his coaching role at the end of the 1983 season.
