Texanna is a small community in McIntosh County, Oklahoma, USA. It is known as a census-designated place (CDP), which means it's an area identified by the U.S. Census Bureau for statistical purposes. In 2020, about 2,293 people lived here.

Texanna was first set up in the old Indian Territory in District 12. It had its own post office from June 27, 1888, until July 16, 1940. Back in 1905, about 200 people lived in Texanna. People say the town was named after a group of Cherokees who came from Texas. Today, people living in Texanna get their mail through the nearby towns of Eufaula and Checotah.

Where is Texanna Located?

Texanna is found in Oklahoma, southeast of a city called Henryetta. It is located south of Interstate 40 and east of U.S. Route 69. A big part of Texanna is right on the edge of Lake Eufaula, a large lake in the state.

The United States Census Bureau says that Texanna covers about 40 square miles (103.48 square kilometers). Most of this area is land, with only a small part (about 0.1 square miles or 0.66 square kilometers) being water.
