Robert James Rallison (born May 14, 1996), known online as TheOdd1sOut, is an American YouTuber, cartoonist, and animator. He is famous for making animated videos where he tells stories about his life. He also helped create and star in the Netflix animated show Oddballs.

About James Rallison
James Rallison was born in Chandler, Arizona, on May 14, 1996. His mother is the author Janette Rallison. He has a twin sister, Faith, and three other siblings.
He went to Perry High School in Gilbert, Arizona. In 2018, James moved to Glendale, California.
James's Career
Webcomics
James started his creative journey by making webcomics called TheOdd1sOut. He first shared these comics on Tumblr in June 2012 when he was 16.
His comics featured unique characters he called "marshmallow people." These characters were white and round. The comics often focused on funny, lighthearted topics.
YouTube Channel
On August 30, 2014, James started his YouTube channel, also called TheOdd1sOut. He used the same "marshmallow people" from his comics in his animated videos. In these videos, he shares stories about his life, his thoughts, and his opinions.
His first video was about a short story he wrote as a child. His channel grew very quickly. By July 2016, he had reached 1 million subscribers. James later left college to focus on making videos full-time.
On December 2, 2017, he started a second channel called TheOdd2sOut. This channel features videos that are not animated, like gaming content. TheOdd1sOut channel reached 10 million subscribers in January 2019.
Working with Others
James has worked with other artists on music. He released "Life is Fun" in July 2018 with David "Boyinaband" Brown. In December 2020, he released "Good Person" with Joel "Roomie" Berghult.
His animated character also appeared in the credits of YouTube Rewind: The Shape of 2017. He even had a speaking role in YouTube Rewind 2018: Everyone Controls Rewind.
In March 2019, James joined MrBeast's $200,000 YouTuber Battle Royale video. He was on a team that won the first round. James donated his winnings from this event to #TeamTrees. This project aimed to plant 20 million trees by the end of 2019.
Other Projects
James is also an author. He wrote a book called The Odd 1s Out: How to Be Cool and Other Things I Definitely Learned from Growing Up. This book was released in July 2018 and became a bestseller.
He also helped create a board game called Can't Catch Harry. On November 22, he launched his own mobile game, TheOdd1sOut: Let's Bounce!.
In June 2022, James announced an animated series based on his characters. The show, called Oddballs, premiered on Netflix later that year.
