The 411 was an English R&B music group. This all-female group started in late 2003. They were known for their soulful songs. While they were together, The 411 released one studio album. They also had three songs that made it into the top 40 charts. The group broke up in 2005.

The Story of The 411

How The 411 Started

The group first came together in 2003. It began as a four-member girl band. One of the members was Tisha Martin. She was an actress before joining the group. Tisha had appeared in children's TV shows. These included Kerching and The Basil Brush Show.

Music and Success

The group's very first song was "On My Knees". It became a big hit in the UK. The song reached the top 5 on the music charts. Their second song, "Dumb," was also very popular. It reached number 3 in the UK. "Dumb" also made it into the top 30 in Australia.

These popular songs were part of their album. The album was called Between the Sheets. The girls in the group helped write all the songs on this album. Their album was very successful. It was certified silver on December 10, 2004. This means it sold a lot of copies!
