Making Music

The Beat Bully started making music when he was 13 years old. He learned with his brother, Jahlil Beats. At first, he used the name Tone Beats. But he later changed it to The Beat Bully. He once said that people told him he "bullied the beats." That's how he got his new name.

He began taking music production seriously in 2009. His brother connected him with rapper Meek Mill. The first song he produced professionally was "I Want It All." This song featured Lou Williams and Meek Mill. His second song for Meek Mill was "House Party." This song became very popular. It reached number 45 on the US Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. He also produced three songs on Meek Mill's popular mixtape Dreamchasers.

Soon after, he started a music group called Da Night Rydas. The group includes Kenoe, Snizzy, and Crack Coke. This team has produced music for artists like 2 Chainz, T.I., Nicki Minaj, and Lil Wayne.

His next big song was Rick Ross' "Stay Schemin'." This song also featured French Montana and Drake. He first gave the beat to Bow Wow. But then he passed it to Rick Ross. In 2012, The Beat Bully started working with Young Money Entertainment president Mack Maine. On July 11, 2012, Birdman announced something exciting. He signed The Beat Bully to Cash Money Records as a producer.

During 2012, The Beat Bully produced more hit songs. He made Rick Ross' "So Sophisticated." This was a single from the album God Forgives, I Don't. He also helped with music for DJ Khaled's album Kiss The Ring. And he worked on Meek Mill's first album, Dreams & Nightmares. He also produced songs for The Game and Maybach Music Group.

In 2013, he continued to produce for many artists. He worked on songs for Bow Wow's Greenlight 5. He also contributed to French Montana's album Excuse My French. He produced more tracks for Meek Mill's Dreamchasers 3. He also worked on DJ Khaled's Suffering from Success and Ace Hood's Starvation 2.

In 2015, he produced two songs for DJ Khaled's album I Changed a Lot. These were "I Don't Play About My Paper" and "I Ain't Worried." In 2016, he helped produce "Hype" for Drake's album "Views". He also produced "Ima Be Alright" for DJ Khaled's album Major Key.

Music Style

The Beat Bully's music style is special. It mixes "sample-free club" sounds with "trap" music. This means he often creates new sounds instead of using parts from old songs. His music is often used for club songs and hip hop tracks.
