The Dangerous Book for Boys is a super popular guidebook written by Conn Iggulden and Hal Iggulden. It was made for boys of all ages, from eight to eighty! The book is packed with about eighty different topics. It teaches you cool skills like how to build a treehouse, grow your own crystals, or figure out directions using just a watch.
You'll also find famous quotes, exciting stories, details about historical battles, and important phrases that "every boy should know." The book first came out in the UK in June 2006. It quickly became a bestseller, selling over half a million copies!
Conn Iggulden also wrote a novel called Wolf of the Plains, which is about Genghis Khan. Because of the success of both The Dangerous Book for Boys and Wolf of the Plains, Conn Iggulden became the first author to have a number one book in both fiction and non-fiction categories at the same time.
When The Dangerous Book for Boys was released in the US on May 1, 2007, it quickly became the second best-selling book on Amazon. Only Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows sold more copies that week! Many people helped make the book a success, including the editing team and Helen Johnstone, who won an award for the best publicity campaign in 2007.

Pocket and Yearbook Editions
In June 2007, a smaller book called Pocket Dangerous Book for Boys: Things to Do came out in the UK. It's a small green book that has many of the activities from the bigger book, but in a size you can carry around easily.
Then, in September 2007, the Dangerous Book for Boys Yearbook was released in the UK. This book has historical facts, fun activities for different seasons, and space for you to write down your own adventures. It has a blue cover with gold writing.
In June 2008, another pocket-sized book, Pocket Dangerous Book for Boys: Things to Know, was released. All these smaller versions also came out in the US and Canada in 2008.
International Editions
In 2007, an Australian version of the book was published. It included special content for Australia, like information about the Prime Ministers of Australia and the rules of Australian Rules Football.
Brazil also made its own version of the book. It included things important to Brazil, like a chapter about Monteiro Lobato instead of Shakespeare. There's also a Portuguese version of the book.
Books for Girls and Science Kits
A similar book, but for girls, was published in late October 2007. It's called The Daring Book for Girls and was written by Andrea J. Buchanan and Miriam Peskowitz.
