The main character is Tomasz Giemza. He is a student who has been asked to leave his law studies. Tomasz is very interested in the wealthy Krasucki family. He gets a job at a company that helps people look good to the public.
This job turns out to be at a "troll farm." This is a place where people work to spread untrue stories and mean comments online. They target famous people, internet stars, and even politicians. Tomasz quickly becomes very good at this kind of work.
Over time, Tomasz starts to use his new skills to watch the Krasuckis very closely. He tries to bother them and make them do what he wants. The movie shows how powerful and dangerous online actions can be.
