Early Life and Education
Jacek Koman was born in Bielsko-Biała, Poland. His parents, Halina and Adam Koman, were also actors. In 1982, Jacek moved to Australia with his brother, Tomek. They first arrived in Perth before settling in Melbourne.
Before moving, Jacek studied acting at the famous National Film School in Łódź in Poland. He learned a lot about acting there from 1974 to 1978.

Jacek Koman's first professional acting job was in a play called A Midsummer Night's Dream in 1978. He played the character Lysander.
He has often worked with his partner, Australian actress Catherine McClements. They have appeared together in films like Redheads and Floodhouse. They also acted in a TV show called Rush and several theatre productions.
In 2011, Jacek was nominated for an AACTA award for his role in the TV series Spirited. The next year, in 2012, he played 'The Great Hypno' in the popular Australian mystery series Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries.
After taking a break from the stage, Jacek returned to theatre in 2013. He performed in a play called Dance of Death in Melbourne.
