Maciej Jerzy Stuhr (born June 23, 1975) is a well-known Polish actor and comedian. He has starred in many films and TV shows. In 2022, he won a special award called the Polish Academy Award for Best Actor for his acting.

About Maciej Stuhr
Maciej Stuhr was born in Kraków, Poland. His father, Jerzy Stuhr, is also a famous actor. His mother, Barbara Kóska, is a violinist. Maciej has a younger sister named Marianna. His family moved to Kraków from Lower Austria a long time ago, in 1879.
His Education and Early Career
Maciej first studied psychology at the Jagiellonian University. He finished this in 1999. After that, he decided to follow in his father's footsteps and study acting. He went to the AST National Academy of Theatre Arts in Kraków and finished there in 2003.
He became famous for being very good at imitating other Polish actors and performers. He even started his own comedy group called Po Żarcie. He wrote most of the jokes and sketches for this group himself.
Becoming a Star Actor
Maciej Stuhr has played many memorable roles. One of his early famous roles was Kuba Brenner in the movie Chłopaki nie płaczą, which means "Boys Don't Cry". He also played Piotr in Krzysztof Kieślowski's film Decalogue X.
In 2013, he won a big award, the Polish Film Award for Best Actor. This was for his role in the drama film Aftermath, directed by Władysław Pasikowski.
Hosting and Stage Work
Maciej Stuhr is not just a film actor. In 2006, he helped host the 19th European Film Awards in Warsaw. He hosted it alongside the famous French actress Sophie Marceau.
Since 2008, he has been a part of the Nowy Teatr (New Theater) group. This theater is led by the artistic director Krzysztof Warlikowski. In the same year, he received the Zbigniew Cybulski Award. This award is given to the best young actors.
