Adventures in Fantasia
This animated series follows a young boy named Bastian Balthazar Bux. He once again helps the Childlike Empress and the amazing people of Fantasia. Fantasia is a magical land of imagination. You can visit and even change Fantasia through a special, never-ending book called The Neverending Story.
Fantasia is still in danger from scary villains. These include the terrifying Nothing and the evil sorceress Xayide. As Bastian helps save Fantasia, he learns important lessons. He also makes many magical friends. These friends include the wooden Bark Troll and the brave luckdragon Falkor.
TV Show vs. Movies
The animated TV series has some differences from the movies.
The Nothing and Gmork
In the animated series, the Nothing is a villain that appears often. It looks like a hole with evil red eyes. These eyes belong to a white wolf. This version of the Nothing is the TV show's take on Gmork from the original story.
Xayide's Look
The evil sorceress Xayide looks different too. Unlike in the first sequel film, she wears green robes. She also has an eye mask with yellow slits. In the original film, her face was created using a special magical cream.
Rockbiter's Family
In the later two sequel films, including the third film, the Rockbiter has a wife and a son named Junior. His wife and son also appear in this animated series.
