The Playtones facts for kids

The Playtones is a cool Swedish rock band that started in 2008. They are from a town called Kallinge. Their music sounds like the fun rock and roll songs from the 1950s. They also play rockabilly music, which is a mix of rock and country.

Before 2008, the band was known as Boppin' Steve & The Playtones. They became very popular when they won a big TV competition called Dansbandskampen in 2009. This show was all about "dansband" music, which is a type of dance music popular in Sweden. In 2011, The Playtones also took part in Melodifestivalen. This is a famous music contest in Sweden that chooses who will represent the country in the Eurovision Song Contest.
