The Prophecy of The Stones (also known as The Prophecy of the Gems in the UK) is an exciting adventure novel for young readers. It was written by the French author Flavia Bujor. Amazingly, Flavia was only thirteen years old when she wrote this book! It took her just six months to complete. The story was so popular that it was translated from French into English and more than 30 other languages.

What the Story Is About
This book tells the tale of three brave girls. They are named Jade, Opal, and Amber. These names come from the beautiful gemstones linked to them since birth. The girls are the main characters, also called protagonists. Their big mission is to defeat the 'Council of Twelve' and the 'Army of Darkness'. These groups are making life hard for everyone in their world.
The Girls Meet and Begin Their Quest
The three girls first meet on their 14th birthdays. Their guardians brought them together. They soon find a secret message, like a puzzle. To figure it out, they visit Jean Losserand. He is an explorer who was put in prison for speaking out. Jean tells them to find a wise oracle named 'Oonagh'.
Journey to Fairytale
To reach Oonagh, the girls and their friend Adrien de Rivebel lead a big journey. Many people join them in leaving their homes. They travel to a special place called 'Fairytale'. In Fairytale, regular humans live peacefully with super-humans. This land is safe from the Council's control.
Challenges Along the Way
During their journey, Opal gets hurt. Luckily, she is saved at the home of Owen d'Yrdahl, Adrien's friend. After Opal gets better, she, Jade, and Amber continue their quest. They finally reach Oonagh.
The Oracle's Prophecy
Oonagh shares an important secret with them. She reveals that a huge battle is coming. It will happen on the next summer solstice. This battle will be between the Army of Darkness and the Army of Light. Oonagh tells the girls they must convince Death to end her strike. This is a very unusual task!
Preparing for Battle
After they succeed in their mission with Death, the girls rejoin the Army of Light. There, Amber recognizes the leader of this army. His name is 'Elyador'. In their world's language, 'Elyador' means 'Chosen One'.
The Final Showdown
The three girls watch the big battle unfold. They are with their main enemy, the Thirteenth Councillor. When the Army of Light seems to be in danger, the girls do something amazing. They jump from the Councillor's tall tower! This brave act causes a 'golden rain' to fall. This rain inspires the Army of Light. With new hope, the Army of Light bravely defeats the Army of Darkness.
A New Beginning
After their victory, the leaders find something special. It is called a 'Seed of hope'. They plant this seed. This ensures their victory will last and brings new life to their world.
Elyador's Own Journey
The story also follows Elyador, the leader of the Army of Light. He had lost his memory and wandered alone for a long time. He eventually found his way to the Army of Light, ready to lead them.
