What Was Their Job?
In almost every season of The Real World, the housemates are given a group job. This job is important for them to stay on the show. The San Diego cast worked on San Diego Bay. They were crew members for a company called Next Level Sailing. Their boat was named Stars & Stripes. This boat took visitors on daily trips.
Before they started their regular duties, the cast had to learn how to sail. They also learned how to guide the boats in San Diego Bay. They had to prepare the yachts and help with maintenance. This job was a challenge for Frankie Abernathy. She had a fear of large metal objects, like boats. The sight of the harbor made her scared at first.
Where Did They Live?
The cast lived in a special house in San Diego. It was located at 4922 North Harbor Drive. The house had two stories and was custom-designed for the show. It used to be a seafood restaurant and a marine supply company. The house sat right by America's Cup Harbor. It overlooked the water in Point Loma.
The house was quite large. Some sources say it was about 5,000 square feet. Others say it was even bigger, around 10,328 square feet. While the show was filming, the property also had a sand volleyball court. There was also a basketball court for the cast to use.
