Jamie Jilynn Chung (Hangul: 정지린; RR: Jeong Jirin: born April 10, 1983) is an American actress. She first became known in 2004 as a star on the MTV reality TV show The Real World: San Diego. She also appeared on its spin-off show, Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Inferno II. Many people think she is one of the most successful stars from The Real World to have a career in media.
Jamie later started acting. She is known for movies like Dragonball Evolution, Grown Ups, Premium Rush, Sucker Punch, and Big Hero 6 (2014). She also received praise for her main role in the movie Eden. Jamie played the main character in the TV show Samurai Girl. She was a regular cast member in the superhero show The Gifted (2017–19). She also played Mulan in the TV series Once Upon a Time. From 2017 to 2021, she voiced Go Go Tomago in the animated show Big Hero 6: The Series. In 2020, Jamie appeared as Ji-Ah in the HBO series Lovecraft Country.

Early Life and Education
Jamie Jilynn Chung was born on April 10, 1983, in San Francisco, California. She grew up there with her older sister. Jamie and her sister are second-generation Korean-American. Their parents moved to the United States in 1980 and ran a hamburger restaurant.
Jamie went to Lowell High School and graduated in 2001. She then went to the University of California, Riverside. In 2005, she earned a degree in economics. While in college, she was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.

Starting with Reality TV
Jamie Chung first became famous on The Real World: San Diego. This was the 14th season of MTV's long-running reality show The Real World, which aired in 2004. MTV described her as a hardworking student who had two jobs to pay for college. She also enjoyed going to parties.
After The Real World, Jamie joined its spin-off game show, Real World/Road Rules Challenge. She was a cast member in the 2005 season, The Inferno II. She was part of the "Good Guys" team. Jamie and her teammates won the competition at the end of the season.
Moving into Acting
After her time on The Real World, Jamie Chung started her acting career. She had small roles in TV shows and movies. These included playing Cordy Han in Days of Our Lives and a Hooters girl in the 2007 comedy I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry. She also appeared in episodes of CSI: NY and Veronica Mars.
One of Jamie's first appearances was in the music video for Rihanna's song "Umbrella" in 2007. In 2008, she got her first big acting role. She played the main character, Heavan Kogo, in the ABC Family TV show Samurai Girl. Critics said her acting in this role showed she could become a TV star.
Jamie had supporting roles in 2009 movies like Sorority Row and Dragonball Evolution. In Dragonball Evolution, she played Chi-Chi, Goku's love interest. Jamie and her husband, Bryan Greenberg, starred together in the movie Already Tomorrow in Hong Kong, which came out in 2015.
In 2017, Jamie was cast as Blink in the Fox superhero series The Gifted. She played a younger version of the character.
In 2020, Jamie appeared in the HBO series Lovecraft Country. She played Ji-Ah, a young nurse during the Korean War. This role was very important and received a lot of praise. Jamie said it was her most challenging role yet. She also said her experience on the show inspired her to create her own TV show idea, which was bought by a company.

Personal Life
Jamie Chung started dating actor and musician Bryan Greenberg in 2012. They got engaged in December 2013. They were married on October 31, 2015, in Santa Barbara, California.
In 2019, Jamie shared that she had started the process of oocyte cryopreservation, which is freezing eggs for future use. In October 2021, she and Bryan had twin sons. Their sons were born through surrogacy, which means another person carried the babies for them.
In 2013, Jamie and Bryan bought a home in Manhattan. In 2020, they bought another home in Brooklyn. In January 2025, their house in Los Angeles was destroyed by the Southern California wildfires. Luckily, Jamie, Bryan, and their twin sons were safe.
