Making the Game
People had been talking about Kingdom Hearts III for many years. Finally, it was officially announced at a big event called E3 in 2013.
The Director's Vision
The game's director, Tetsuya Nomura, shared some interesting facts. He said that Kingdom Hearts III would finish a big storyline called the "Xehanort Saga." But he also said it would not be the very last game in the Kingdom Hearts series. More adventures would come later!
In an interview, Nomura talked about how the game looks. He wanted the characters to look like they were painted, just like old Disney cartoons. The team worked hard to create a special look called the "Kingdom Shader." This made the game's graphics feel like a rich, colorful evolution of the series.
Working with Voice Actors
Making a game like Kingdom Hearts III takes a lot of time. The producer, Shinji Hashimoto, explained why there was a gap between this game and another big game, Final Fantasy XV. Both games were directed by Nomura, and the company wanted each game to be perfect.
Haley Joel Osment, the actor who voices the main hero, Sora, in English, was excited to return. He said that recording dialogue usually happens later in the game's development. He expected to start his voice work around mid-2014.
Music for the Game
The music is a very important part of the Kingdom Hearts games. Hikaru Utada, a famous singer, had sung the theme songs for the first two games. Her father, Teruzane Utada, hinted that she might be involved again for Kingdom Hearts III. Fans were very excited about this possibility!
