Haley Joel Osment (born April 10, 1988) is an American actor. He started acting when he was very young. He became famous for his roles in movies like Forrest Gump (1994) and especially The Sixth Sense (1999). For The Sixth Sense, he was nominated for an Academy Award, which is a huge honor in movies.
Haley Joel Osment also starred in other popular films such as Pay It Forward (2000) and Steven Spielberg's A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001). He has also lent his voice to many characters, including Sora in the Kingdom Hearts video game series since 2002.

Haley Joel Osment was born in Los Angeles, California. His mother, Theresa, was a teacher, and his father, Michael Eugene Osment, was an actor in theater and films. Both of his parents were from Birmingham, Alabama.
He has a younger sister, Emily Osment, who is also an actress. His parents made sure he had a normal childhood. His father even avoided using "baby talk" when Haley was learning to speak.
As a child, Haley went to Flintridge Preparatory School in La Cañada Flintridge, California. He enjoyed playing sports like wrestling, basketball, football, and golf. Later, he studied at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, graduating in 2011.

Haley Joel Osment's acting journey began very early. When he was just four years old, he was spotted by a talent scout at a store. His first big break was in a Pizza Hut TV commercial. This led to his first TV show role in Thunder Alley.
