Emily Jordan Osment (born March 10, 1992) is an American actress and singer. She grew up in Los Angeles and started acting when she was a child. Emily became well-known for playing Gerti Giggles in the Spy Kids movies. She also starred as Lilly Truscott in the popular Disney Channel TV show Hannah Montana and its movie.
Later, Emily took on roles in other TV shows like Young & Hungry and The Kominsky Method. She also appeared in Pretty Smart and Young Sheldon. Emily has also had a music career, releasing albums and EPs. She performs under the name Bluebiird for her newer music.

Early life
Emily Jordan Osment was born on March 10, 1992, in Los Angeles. Her father, Michael Eugene Osment, is an actor. Her mother, Theresa Osment, was an English teacher. Emily was raised as a Roman Catholic. Her older brother is the famous actor Haley Joel Osment.
Career
Early acting roles (1997–2005)
Emily started her acting journey in 1997 by appearing in a commercial for FTD flowers. After that, she was in many commercials. Her first movie role was in 1999's The Secret Life of Girls. The same year, she acted with Glenn Close in the TV movie Sarah, Plain and Tall: Winter's End. This role earned her a nomination for a Young Artist Award.
Emily also appeared in TV shows like Touched by an Angel, Friends, and 3rd Rock from the Sun. In 2002, she made her big screen debut as Gerti Giggles in Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams. She won a Young Artist Award for this role. She played Gerti again in Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over in 2003. Emily also lent her voice to animated movies like Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch.
Starring in Hannah Montana (2005–2009)

In 2005, Emily got the role of Lilly Truscott in the Disney Channel series Hannah Montana. Lilly was the best friend of Miley Cyrus, who secretly played pop star Hannah Montana. When Miley was Hannah, Lilly used the name Lola Luftnagle. The show was very popular, with 5.4 million viewers for its first episode.
Emily was nominated for a Young Artist Award in 2007 for her work on Hannah Montana. She also helped design some of the Hannah Montana clothing line. Emily sang several songs for Disney projects. She recorded "I Don't Think About It" for the movie The Haunting Hour: Don't Think About It. She also sang "If I Didn't Have You" with Mitchel Musso for DisneyMania 6. In 2008, she starred in the movie Soccer Mom. She also appeared in the Disney Channel movie Dadnapped in 2009.
Music career and other roles (2009–2012)
In 2009, Emily signed with Wind-Up Records to release her own music. She worked with different songwriters and musicians. Her first EP (Extended Play) was called All the Right Wrongs, released in October 2009. The EP featured songs with a rock sound.
Emily went on her first tour, the Clap Your Hands Tour, in 2010. Her first full album, Fight or Flight, came out in October 2010. This album had more of an electropop sound. She then went on the Fight or Flight Tour to promote the album.
In 2011, Emily starred in the ABC Family movie Cyberbully. This movie was about a young woman dealing with online bullying. It aimed to help stop Internet harassment. The film was well-received and had 3.4 million viewers when it first aired.
Recent projects (2013–present)
In 2013, Emily starred in the TV series Cleaners. She also had a guest role in Two and a Half Men. Emily voiced Pep in the Beverly Hills Chihuahua film. She also appeared in the short film Seasick Sailor, which won an award at the Los Angeles Film Festival.
In 2014, Emily took on the lead role in the ABC Family TV series Young & Hungry. She played Gabi Diamond, a young blogger who becomes a personal chef. The show was popular and ran for several seasons.
Emily also appeared in the 2015 movie Love Is All You Need?. From 2015 to 2016, she had a recurring role on the CBS series Mom. She played Jodi, a character dealing with addiction.
In 2019, Emily started releasing new music under the name Bluebiird. Her EP, When I Loved You, came out in September 2019. She also had a recurring role as Theresa in The Kominsky Method from 2018 to 2021. For this role, she received nominations for a Screen Actors Guild Award. In October 2021, her new sitcom, Pretty Smart, premiered on Netflix.
In 2022, Emily joined the cast of Young Sheldon as Mandy McAllister. Mandy became a love interest for Georgie and later had his child. Emily became a main cast member for the sixth season. In 2023, she starred in the Lifetime film Stolen Baby: The Murder of Heidi Broussard. In January 2024, it was announced that Emily would star in a spin-off series of Young Sheldon called Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage. This new show focuses on Georgie and Mandy and premiered in October 2024.
Other ventures
In 2007, Emily worked with the denim brand Vanilla Star for their "Smart Girls Rock" campaign. She also helped design some pieces for the Hannah Montana clothing collection. Her image was used on various Hannah Montana products like dolls and DVDs.
Helping others
Emily has been involved in many charity efforts. In 2007, she designed a line of shirts for 2lovecollection.com. The money raised from these shirts went to the Make-A-Wish Foundation and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
In 2008, Emily participated in "Disney Channel Earth Day." She and other Disney stars worked with TreePeople to teach kids about caring for the environment. She was also part of Disney's Friends for Change, an initiative to encourage young people to be aware of environmental issues.
Emily is an ambassador for STOMP Out Bullying, an organization that works to prevent bullying among children. She was recognized for her performance in Cyberbully for helping to raise awareness about bullying.
Personal life
Emily Osment was in a relationship with actor Jimmy Tatro from 2013 to 2015. From 2016 to early 2021, she dated Jim Gilbert.
In 2021, Emily started dating Jack Anthony. They announced their engagement in June 2023 and married in a private ceremony in October 2024. However, Emily filed for divorce in March 2025, and the divorce was finalized on March 10, 2025.
