Crew of the Pluto Spaceship

• Haley Joel Osment voices Garbage. He is an energetic corgi and the main captain of the Pluto spaceship in Season 1. Garbage is determined to find a new home for humanity.
• Sarah Chalke voices Stella. She is a smart Sheltie. Stella starts as the tactical officer. Later, she becomes the captain of the Pluto.
• Kimiko Glenn voices Nomi. Nomi is a brave and fun shih tzu. She is the pilot of the Pluto spaceship.
• Chris Parnell voices Ed. Ed is a Jack Russell terrier. He loves collecting things and serves as the "ambassador" for the Pluto.
• David Lopez voices Chonies. Chonies is a chihuahua. He is the medical and tech officer for the Pluto crew.
• William Jackson Harper voices Loaf. Loaf is a nervous bulldog. He helps the crew by watching for danger from the M-Bark ship.
• Debra Wilson voices Kira. Kira is a husky. She was sent to space to find a new home for humans. Kira was stranded on a planet until Garbage and his crew rescued her. She later trusts humans again and lives on Earth.
• Stephanie Beatriz voices Pepper. Pepper is a black Labrador Retriever. She joins the Pluto crew in Season 2 as the new tactical officer.

• Michael Dorn voices Pistachio Soup. He is a Sharpei and the leader of the Council.

• Vyvy Nguyen voices Dr. Chelsea. She is Garbage's human owner and a scientist on Earth.
• Deedee Magno Hall voices Penelope. Penelope is a Tibetan Spaniel. She is the dog trainer on the M-Bark and used to be a prize-winning show dog.
• Rena Strober voices Dr. Olga. She is the main human scientist of the space program and Kira's owner.
• Wil Wheaton voices Atlas. Atlas is a Boston Terrier. He is the medical and tech officer for the Venus ship.

The idea for Dogs in Space was first shared in June 2021. Netflix quickly decided to make a second season. This news came out in November 2021.

The first season of Dogs in Space became available on Netflix on November 18, 2021. A special preview trailer was released on October 19. The second season was released on September 15, 2022.
