A Look Back
Theodosia got its first post office way back in 1886. People have a couple of ideas about how the village got its name. Some say it was named after Theodosia Herd, who was the wife of an early postmaster. Others believe it was named by a different postmaster, after his daughter, Theodosia Kirby.
