Thomas & Friends is a fun children's television series that tells stories about engines and other characters. They all work together on the railways of the Island of Sodor. The show is based on The Railway Series books, which were written by the Reverend W. Awdry.
This article is all about the 7th season of Thomas & Friends. This season first aired in the United Kingdom between October 6, 2003, and November 10, 2003. Michael Angelis was the narrator for this season in the UK. For American viewers, Michael Brandon narrated the episodes. Later, Michael Angelis re-narrated four of these episodes for the US audience.

Meet the Engines: Season 7 Episodes
This season has 26 exciting episodes! Here's a quick look at what happens in each one:
New Friends and Big Adventures
- Emily's New Coaches (October 6, 2003): A new engine named Emily arrives. She accidentally takes Thomas's coaches, Annie and Clarabel, which makes Thomas upset. The other engines aren't very friendly at first. But when Oliver breaks down, Emily bravely rescues him, and she gets her very own new coaches!
- Percy Gets It Right (October 7, 2003): Percy discovers some unsafe tracks and warns everyone about a possible landslide. No one listens to him. Thomas gets stuck in a landslide, and Percy comes to the rescue. The Fat Controller then apologizes to Percy for not trusting him.
- Bill, Ben and Fergus (October 8, 2003): Fergus, a traction engine, tries to help Bill and Ben at the quarry. They think he's too bossy and ignore his warnings about a noisy rock crusher. This leads to a rock-slide!
- The Old Bridge (October 9, 2003): Skarloey is scared to cross an old wooden bridge after a close call. Rheneas helps by taking over his jobs. But when Rheneas breaks down on the bridge, Skarloey has to be brave and face his fear.
Note: This episode is part of a special story called James and the Express.
- Edward's Brass Band (October 10, 2003): Edward is chosen to take the brass band to a concert. A big boiler accidentally knocks him over, and he can't be repaired in time. Bertie the bus takes over, but he gets stuck. Edward gets fixed just in time to take the band after all!
- What's the Matter with Henry? (October 13, 2003): Thomas and Percy don't believe Henry is really sick and give him many coal trucks to pull. Luckily, Emily cares for Henry and helps figure out what's wrong.
- James and the Queen of Sodor (October 14, 2003): James loves to boast about his shiny paint. Gordon tricks him into taking a smelly old barge called the "Queen of Sodor" for repairs. James worries about getting dirty but delivers it safely.
- The Refreshment Lady's Tea Shop (October 15, 2003): Peter Sam helps the Refreshment Lady find a new spot for her tea shop stand. She wants a stand in many different places.
- The Spotless Record (October 16, 2003): Thomas plays a trick on Arthur, a new engine who has never had an accident. Thomas tells him to control the Troublesome Trucks. When Arthur gets annoyed and tells them to stop singing, they cause an accident, ruining his perfect record. Thomas admits his trick, and they both learn that friendships can be mended, just like records.
- Toby's Windmill (October 17, 2003): Toby accidentally causes trouble at his favorite windmill with some flour trucks. Then, a storm destroys it. Toby is determined to fix his mistake and rebuild the windmill.
- Bad Day at Castle Loch (October 20, 2003): Donald and Douglas are happy about Lord Callan's castle reopening. But they get a spooky surprise during a night trip!
- Rheneas and the Roller Coaster (October 21, 2003): Rheneas wants to show children something amazing, but he doesn't think anything is special enough. He then finds himself on a very twisty and unsafe track.
- Salty's Stormy Tale (October 22, 2003): Salty feels hurt when Thomas and Percy copy his way of speaking. But during a big storm, Salty and Fergus fix a lighthouse, preventing a shipwreck. The ship's crew thanks Salty, and he forgives Thomas and Percy.
- Snow Engine (October 23, 2003): Oliver complains about the snow, but Toad thinks it's wonderful. Oliver has to deliver goods for a winter festival. He skids on ice and crashes into a giant snowman. The next morning, children decorate him as a snow engine, making Oliver feel much better about the snow.
- Something Fishy (October 24, 2003): Arthur is sad when Thomas gets the new line at the Fishing Village, especially since Thomas hates fish! Thomas's bad attitude leads to a messy accident with the Troublesome Trucks, and only Arthur can help him.
- The Runaway Elephant (October 27, 2003): A new park is being built, and Duncan wants to finish his jobs first. He's told to go slowly with an elephant statue. Duncan gets impatient and leaves without a brake van. The heavy statue pulls him along, and he crashes, sending the statue into the lake. Everyone loves the statue in the lake, even though it was an accident!
- Peace and Quiet (October 28, 2003): Murdoch, a new engine, just wants some peace and quiet, which is hard to find on a busy railway. The next morning, he runs into a noisy flock of sheep. Later, he makes friends with Harvey and Salty.
- Fergus Breaks the Rules (October 29, 2003): Diesel is sent to work with Fergus. Diesel gets annoyed by Fergus's bossiness and tricks him into thinking the Fat Controller wants him at the smelters yard. Fergus runs away after 'Arry and Bert scare him. Thomas finds Fergus and brings him back. The Fat Controller sends Diesel to the smelters, and Fergus returns to his cement works.
- Bulgy Rides Again (October 30, 2003): Bulgy, the bus, gets a second chance at being a bus. But the hens who used to live in him sneak back on board and cause trouble the next morning!
- Harold and the Flying Horse (October 31, 2003): It's the day of the Vicar's party, and the engines are excited. Harold the helicopter is sad he can't go because he's on patrol. He meets Pegasus, a horse giving rides at the party. Pegasus gets stuck, and Harold rescues him, so Harold gets to go to the party after all!
- The Grand Opening (November 3, 2003): Skarloey is impatient after being scolded for being late. The Fat Controller and Lady Hatt ride a hot-air balloon to a grand opening. The balloon runs out of air and lands in a tree. Skarloey spots them and gives them a ride to the opening.
- Best Dressed Engine (November 4, 2003): The engines decorate themselves for May Day and have a "Best Dressed Engine" contest. Gordon refuses to join, thinking decorations are silly for an express engine. But a banner accidentally gets stuck on him, and he crashes into a cart of apples. The other engines see him with the banner and declare him the winner! Gordon is secretly pleased.
- Gordon and Spencer (November 5, 2003): Gordon is jealous of Spencer, who is the world's fastest steam engine. But Spencer runs out of water on Gordon's Hill, which makes him look bad.
- Not So Hasty Puddings (November 6, 2003): Thomas is jealous when Elizabeth is chosen to deliver Christmas puddings. But Elizabeth slips on icy roads, and Thomas has to help her after all.
- Trusty Rusty (November 7, 2003): Rusty notices cracks in an old wooden bridge and warns everyone it might fall. Duncan doesn't listen, thinking Rusty is "only a diesel." Duncan runs out of steam halfway across the bridge just as it starts to collapse. Luckily, Rusty finds and rescues Duncan just in time!
- Three Cheers for Thomas (November 10, 2003): Thomas wants to feel important, so he agrees to race Bertie. But during the race, he needs to deliver medals for a children's competition. Thomas has to choose between winning and doing his important job.
