Nicolas Michael Angelis (born April 29, 1944 – died May 30, 2020) was an English actor. He was very well known for his voice work. Many people remember him as the narrator for the British children's TV series Thomas & Friends. He narrated the show from 1991 to 2012. He also voiced characters and narrated other Thomas & Friends movies and games. Michael Angelis also acted in TV shows like Boys from the Blackstuff and G.B.H..

Michael Angelis was born in London, England, on April 29, 1944. He grew up in Liverpool. He studied acting at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow.
He appeared in many TV shows and films. Some of his early TV roles were in comedies like The Liver Birds. He also acted in films such as A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square. In 1982, he was in the popular TV series Boys from the Blackstuff. He also played a villain in the TV show Auf Wiedersehen, Pet in 2002.

Michael Angelis became famous for narrating Thomas & Friends. He was the voice of the show for over 20 years, from 1991 to 2012. He also narrated John Peel's autobiography, Margrave of the Marshes, on BBC Radio 4. In 2007, he appeared in episodes of Midsomer Murders and The Bill.
