List of Thomas & Friends episodes

Thomas & Friends is a popular children's television series. It tells stories about engines and other characters. They all work on the railways of the Island of Sodor. The show is based on The Railway Series books. These books were written by the Reverend W. Awdry.

This article focuses on the ninth series of Thomas & Friends. It first aired in 2005. Michael Angelis narrated the episodes for viewers in the United Kingdom. Michael Brandon narrated them for audiences in the United States.

Some episodes in this series have two different titles. The original titles from the United Kingdom are listed first. The American titles are shown below them.

Making Series 9

For this series, some changes were made to the show. In the United States, half-hour episodes began with a special countdown. The numbers of engines like Henry, Edward, and Thomas would appear on their cabs. Then, workmen would get Thomas ready for his day. His driver would blow Thomas's whistle to signal he was ready. Thomas would then start his adventures. At the end of each show, the countdown would happen again. Thomas would return to the station. Workmen would get him ready for the next day. Thomas would then go to sleep.

Sharon Miller started working as the main writer, also known as the script editor, for this series.
