Thomas Dähne's Club Journey
Thomas Dähne started his football journey in the youth teams. He joined the youth program of Red Bull Salzburg, a well-known club, after playing for TSV 1860 Rosenheim. He worked his way up through the different youth levels at Salzburg.
Early Career and First Team Steps
On April 29, 2010, Thomas made his first appearance for the Red Bull Salzburg second team. He played as a goalkeeper in a big 5–0 win against TSV St. Johann. This was in the Austrian Regional League West, which is a lower division.
He then became a key player for FC Liefering, which was a team connected to Red Bull Salzburg. In the 2012–13 season, he played many games for them. He also made his first appearance for the main Red Bull Salzburg team in Austria's top league, the Austrian Football Bundesliga. This happened on May 26, 2013, in a 3–0 win against FK Austria Wien.
Moving to New Leagues
After his time with Red Bull Salzburg and FC Liefering, Thomas joined RB Leipzig II in Germany for the 2014–15 season. He played 12 games for them.
In August 2015, Thomas moved to Finland to play for HJK, one of Finland's biggest clubs. He played for them for the rest of that season. HJK was very happy with him, so they kept him for the 2016 season as well. He played 56 games for HJK in total.
On November 23, 2017, Thomas signed a contract with Wisła Płock, a club in Poland. He played for them for two and a half years, appearing in 71 matches.
Playing for Holstein Kiel
Since 2020, Thomas Dähne has been playing for Holstein Kiel in Germany. He has played over 50 games for them, helping his team in the 2. Bundesliga. Recently, Holstein Kiel earned a promotion, meaning they will now play in the top German league, the Bundesliga.
