Thornton, Mississippi is a small community in Holmes County, USA. It's known as an unincorporated community. This means it's a place where people live, but it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town. You can find Thornton close to the Yazoo River. A main road, U.S. Highway 49E, goes right through the community. It's about 7 miles (11 km) north of Eden and 10 miles (16 km) south of Tchula.
