Three Forks is a small place in Pennington County, South Dakota, United States. It is called an "unincorporated community" because it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town.

Three Forks is located where two major roads meet: U.S. Route 16 and U.S. Route 385. It's just north of Hill City and sits along a stream called Spring Creek.
