Tibbee, also known as Tibbee Station, is a small place in Clay County, Mississippi, United States. It is not a city or town with its own government. Instead, it is called an unincorporated community. Tibbee is about 7 miles (11 km) east of Osborn and 3 miles (4.8 km) north of Mayhew.

A Look at Tibbee's History
Tibbee got its name from Tibbee Creek, a nearby waterway. Long ago, a railroad called the Gulf, Mobile and Ohio Railroad passed through Tibbee. This railroad helped connect the community to other places.
In the past, Tibbee was a busy little spot. It had five stores where people could buy things. There was also a school for the children.
The Historic Tibbee School
One of the most special places in Tibbee is the old Tibbee School. It was a one-room schoolhouse, meaning all the students learned together in one room. The school was first built way back in 1861. It has been carefully fixed up and restored. Today, the Tibbee School is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This means it is an important historical site that is protected.
The Old Post Office
Tibbee also had its own post office for many years. It was known as Tibbee Station. The post office helped people send and receive letters and packages. It operated from 1858 until 1937.
