Tickfaw is a small village located in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, United States. It was founded way back in 1852.
In 2010, about 694 people lived there. Tickfaw is part of the larger Hammond area. Many of the first people to settle here were Italian-American immigrants. Because of this, Tickfaw still has a strong Italian-American culture today.

Tickfaw's History
The village of Tickfaw officially became a town in 1957. This happened thanks to the leadership of Joe Greco. He later became Tickfaw's very first Mayor.
The village is run by a group of elected officials. This group includes the Mayor, a Board of Aldermen, and an elected Chief of Police. They work together to make decisions for the community.
