Tierra Buena means "Good Land" in Spanish. It was a special kind of community in Sutter County, California, in the United States. It was known as a census-designated place (CDP). This means it was an area identified by the U.S. Census Bureau for collecting statistics, but it wasn't an officially incorporated city or town.
Tierra Buena was part of the larger Yuba City and Greater Sacramento areas. In the year 2000, about 4,587 people lived there. The area covered about 3.4 square miles (8.9 square kilometers), and all of it was land. Before the 2010 census, Tierra Buena was no longer considered a CDP.
