Tierra Rejada Park is a large open space, perfect for adventures. It covers about 150 acres, which is like 113 football fields! The park is managed by the Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District, making sure it stays a beautiful spot for everyone to enjoy.
Awesome Trails and Views
From Tierra Rejada Park, you can find many trails that lead to exciting places. You can hike to Moorpark, Mount McCoy, Oak Canyon, Coyote Hills Park, Long Canyon, and the Wood Ranch Open Space. These trails connect you to lots of other natural areas in southwestern Simi Valley.
When you hike up into the Simi Hills, you'll get amazing views! You can see across the whole Simi Valley, the Santa Rosa Valley, parts of eastern Moorpark, and the western Santa Susana Mountains. It's a perfect spot for taking cool photos and seeing how big the area is.
The main starting point for the Tierra Rejada Trail is right next to the Arroyo Simi wash. The city is also planning new trail entrances from the park along the Arroyo Simi Greenway, which will follow the creek. This means even more ways to explore!
How to Get There
Getting to Tierra Rejada Park is easy! It's located near Highway 118 (Simi Valley Freeway) or Highway 23 (Moorpark Freeway). The main entrance to the park is at the corner of Tierra Rejada Road and Stargaze Place.
