Santa Rosa Valley is a quiet, countryside area in Ventura County, California. It's called an unincorporated community because it doesn't have its own city government. Instead, it's managed by the county. For counting people, the United States Census Bureau calls it a census-designated place (CDP). This means it's a special area defined just for the census.

In 2010, about 3,334 people lived in Santa Rosa Valley. The area is about 433 feet (132 meters) above sea level.

Santa Rosa Valley is located north of Newbury Park. It sits between the cities of Thousand Oaks and Camarillo. You can reach it from Thousand Oaks using a road called Norwegian Grade. This road was built a long time ago by a group called the Norwegian Colony. You can also get there from Santa Rosa Road in Camarillo.

The valley is just north of the Conejo Valley. It follows along two streams, the Arroyo Santa Rosa and the Arroyo Conejo. Much of the land here is used for farming.
