Santa Susana Mountains facts for kids

The Santa Susana Mountains are a mountain range located in southern California, in the United States. These mountains are found just north of the big city of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles River. To their south is the Santa Clara River. The western part of the Santa Susana Mountains is in Ventura County, while the eastern part is in Los Angeles County.
These mountains are an important natural area. They form a natural barrier between the San Fernando Valley and the Simi Valley. They are also home to many different plants and animals.
